Dear Ghouls, Demons, And Otherworldly creatures known to this world as “man” who think that you can tell us what to wear and get away with it…Fuck You.
I am so tired of everything about women being under attack. For a short period of time, I thought it was just me. I thought I was the problem because that’s what my abusers told me.
If I’d had different skin color, if I’d behaved better, If I’d done things differently then the pedophiles they told me, wouldn’t be attacking me like there was tomorrow because they were running out of time. There were so many, but I didn’t lose count, I remembered, remembered enough to tell the people who matter.
So that being said I can confidently say after 40 years of living on this planet, living that by any other word could only be called “research,” women and women’s fashion is not the fucking problem.
In France to cut down on hate crimes against people of color, they are banning the women in France from wearing an Abaya dress in schools. Which is a traditional dress for women and girls from all over the world. Why? Because they fucking can.
Men are confident that women won’t fight back, and often times women are their own worst enemy which often means that men are right.
All a white man has to do is activate a white woman and suddenly she’ll do anything for his attention, even turning on her Black, Jewish, Asian, Disabled and Trans sistas, to the detriment of her own true self a woman will do anything for the man willing to give her the attention she thinks she deserves.
Read that again.

The attention she THINKS she deserves is the attention women will often accept, but just because you think you deserve it doesn’t make it true.
Women are fighting all over the world to break the conditioning that men have spent millennia forcing us to live with, and y’all are worried about our clothing choices.
It’s not about the clothing folks.
It’s about power.
It’s about specifically the power these men who made this decision, and the white women who enforce it, have over Muslim women.
It’s about having any kind of control even if it’s petty and small.
To you, it’s just a dress. To the women and girls who wear it, it’s a part of their homeland, a reminder of where they came from so they don’t forget.
Forced assimilation is no different than segregation. You wanted people to immigrate, you wanted to bolster your numbers as a nation, you invited immigrants to come to your country and now you want to police how they embrace their faith and history because you’re a petty little bitch.
Diplomatic I am not, I am also told that in Afghanistan, armed guards will be protecting a fucking forest so that women and girls don’t have anywhere to go, to get away from men. So in short, they can’t run away.
Men of this planet have lost their fucking minds. They convinced themselves that women are lesser beings, slaves to be enslaved because that’s what their fathers taught them and they will kill us before they’ll sit down and have a discussion about how it’s not okay to treat women and girls like animals.
The United Nations says that there are more women on this planet than there are men, and yet women are dying faster than men because of domestic violence and terrorism. Shocking are you shocked? I’m not shocked, but I am angry about it.
Women – read Black, Brown, and Indigenous women in particular – go missing at alarming rates across Canada and we’re not talking about how they spent more money chasing dead billionaires who chose to die, on a sub that wasn’t prepared to go as deep as they went, then they will searching the fucking landfills for the bodies of dead women.
I am calling my latest book “In Case Of My Death…Burn The World Down,” because I’m convinced that I am going to be the 1 in 4 women who go missing across this great nation every day without ever being found or heard from again.
I don’t want to die, and I know I have a platform, so when you’re sending your kids to school this year, I am going to ask you to remember what it was like for you when you were in school and have some serious conversations with your kids about their conduct and behavior.
The next thing I am going to ask is for you to call your school and ask if they have a sexual awareness campaign happening at any point during the school year, and then ask whether or not that will include what to do when girls or boys or LGBT2S+ kids are sexually harassed.
If yes congratulate them, if no ask them why not?
When I was a kid we had full classrooms full of kids who were told that if they engaged in sexual activity it would be the girl who would be at fault because God was always watching…the girls.
Boys were never given consequences for their actions and often times their actions included downright rape on school property.
We as a society have to do better globally, by our girls and women and nonbinary and or trans folks.
So yes today I woke up and chose violence, and chose to tell France to go fuck itself. Because Muslim girls everywhere deserve to be who they want to be without having to ask permission by law or threat of death by the hands of any man, I’m telling the world to go fuck itself today.
Over an Abaya.
