My name is Devon J Hall and SLS used to mean something disgusting and demeaning to women. But now it means “Stay Lifted Sis,” a weekly reminder to stay lifted, to remain calm, and yes if you absolutely need to, to scream until you can’t breathe.
Whatever.
We’re pretty loose here, but we’re looking for folx who are focused, energized, passionate, and powerful voices, against an ever changing world that seemingly is going backwards instead of forwards.
It wasn’t that long ago that women who spoke out in public were shunned by the entire community for using their voices to affect change. But today we want to celebrate women, men, trans and non-binary or cis people, who are “Doing the fucking thing.”
Whatever that thing is, we want to help you celebrate it, and all it will require of you is one hour of your time.
