Last night I had the chance to do an Instagram Live with my friend and soul sister Renita Quirls from Be Your Own Kind.
One of the things that I love about hanging out with Renita is that I always leave the session feeling amazing, but I have to admit last night I was highly triggered by a lot of the stuff that we talked about, because yeah I’m still in a mode of healing, and there is still some severely huge resentments about what I went through and how everything went down.
BUT BEFORE THE SAD, CAME THE HAPPY, AND DAMNIT I AM GOING TO CELEBRATE THAT WE GOT THROUGH THE FIRST SESSION WITH OUR GREATNESS INTACT, No matter how difficult it was to put myself out there in a way that I’d never done before. So if you’d like to check out the first-ever Goddess Session, please make sure to follow and like the IG.
Everyone thinks that just because you’ve been through some shit and survived it, suddenly like everything is all better and that no matter what, there are no bad days, but the truth of it is that just because you have the courage to keep going, it doesn’t mean that it’s easy. – Renita Quirls
We talked about relationships, we talked about Kanye (of course) and we talked about growing into your greatness through challenge and struggle and as always we laughed our asses off. Next week I will be going live with Allison Gaines and I am so excited to share the spotlight with one of the most amazing activists of all time that has really helped me find my inner activist again after years of being quiet about the things that matter most to me.
Tonight for me was a huge success because it was the first Goddess Session in practice, and it was a great way to spend a hard evening with a beautiful friend who reminded me that I AM strong, and I deserve to claim that strength, for myself, if for no one else in my life. So without further me yapping, check out the IG Live and follow us on Twitter and Instagram to learn more about the future of The Goddess Sessions.
And don’t forget that grabbing yourself a ticket guarantee yourself a spot at our first collective live stream through Youtube, where you can have your voice be on the record.
Sending all my love,
Devon J Hall
