SIX-OH-FOUR-NORTH

“You’re too new, come back when you have more experience,” “this isn’t the kind of writing we do, sorry we’re not interested.” “Maybe when you’ve had some more experience working with cannabis.” On and on and on it goes in this industry.

Everyone wants to experience it, but few people want to talk about it. The thing that makes Six Oh Four North different, is that it’s written by a cannabis novice.

I will never forget new years eve, several years ago when I was sitting with some lovely neighbours, we were talking about the difference between cannabis and alcohol. The elder neighbour (elder by a few years not decades,) reminded me that cannabis is for those who are willing to open their minds, and alcohol is for those who want to shut down. He wasn’t wrong.

Cannabis changed everything about my life and gave me the chance to open myself up to brand new ideas, new possibilities, and new adventures.

I met a ton of new people, but I also met a bunch of roadblocks, to things as a new person I didn’t understand, and to the roadblocks often included money, stigma, and a total lack of understanding of personal preference.

Each of us comes to cannabis in many different ways, for many different reasons, but the reason I hear most often is “I’m in pain.” Whether it’s physical or spiritual, cannabis has altered so many millions of lives, and I want to get my experience with cannabis on the record.

Sometimes when we get lifted, we forget some things, we forget the newness of it all, and I didn’t want to do that, I didn’t want to forget any part of the journey, but legally I can’t talk about cannabis in a promotive way, without making sure only adults have access to the info, so I had to start a new website.

Six Oh Four North was something that I heard years ago when I was on a date in or around being eighteen, and yup, you bet your ass I kept that in my heart for years.

The Six Oh Four represents the BC area code within which I live, and North is the district of Surrey that I reside in, but it’s also a reminder of North Delta, where so much bad stuff happened. This is my way of taking that part of my journey and turning it into lemonade.

Right now Six Oh Four North is just like LMBG except that it’s exclusively about my journey with cannabis, there’s lots of more free content there, and you’re welcome to go check it out and let me know what you think. I genuinely can’t wait for you to see it.

Thanks to everyone who has supported me, lifted me, and sent me cannabis to test out and to enjoy. I genuinely love and adore every single person in this community that has welcomed me with open arms. Thank you, I love you and I wish you the absolute best.

Sending all my love,

Devon J Hall
