One Thousand Fucking Posts. I can’t even count the number of words that I have been able to express on this website, and y’all just keep coming back for more. This is a special day for me. I was hoping to get here in time before the new year season begins, and I did and I am so fucking grateful.
First of all, I want this website to be a sign to folks who are looking for help and support, so to have reached 1000 posts and to know people are still consuming the content is massive. It means that I am on the right track and that there is still a path on my journey where I can use the skills I’ve acquired to help people.
Secondly, do you know how much work this took? I can already hear some of you saying you could never write that much, but maybe you could dance that much, maybe you could sing or draw, maybe there’s something YOU could do that I would never do, so please don’t think that this happened overnight.
As content creators we didn’t even know that blogging could be a real job, that writing could be something we could be so passionate about, we’d do anything to be able to do it every single day until we picked up our first pen.
“Content Creator” wasn’t even a title a few years ago, it was just a thing that people did because they were bored, inspired, educated, or whatever, and wanted to share what they had learned and seen with the world. Now here we are and it’s a full-blown industry.
Six years and so many days and nights to get to 1000 blog posts and I’ve changed so much. I still see hints of my former self, but that person doesn’t exist in my vessel anymore. I hope I’ve made her proud, I hope that I’ve made the original Loud Mouth Brown Girl proud of the brand that we’re creating together, and the work that we’re putting into the world, and I’m excited about the future.
Thank you for reading, sharing, thinking, and talking about the things that I have planned, thank you for not letting me write for myself alone.
Sending all my love,
Devon J Hall
