I can honestly say that I never need to have another pickle chip even if Death is standing at the end of my bed, but spending the evening with several great friends to celebrate 5 years of LMBG, of being an author, and connecting old friends with new friends was one of the best experiences of my life.

I don’t really like big crowds, so getting to celebrate with a small group of folks was really nice. We had my friend G, and my friend Dawn, as well as Morgaine Oger, Lisa, and Rachel, and we got to sit in one of the most beautiful restaurants in the city and have a delicious but kinda cold dinner.

Because of the snow dinner was scattered with everyone eating at different times, but the conversation was fascinating. People talked about social justice, we spoke about social media, and all of us are people who use social media heavily or want to, so it was a really great bonding night and lots of laughter.

Thank you, everyone, who showed up and to those who weren’t because of the snow, it’s okay next time we’ll do something in August when it’s warm and beautiful out.

I love you all.

If you get the chance to throw yourself a small (because covid) party just to celebrate how far you’ve come please do. It’ll change everything and give you one more reason to keep hanging on.

Sending all my love,

Devon J Hall
