When I was five years old, I had a dream of myself. I was holding a copy of my journal, laying on my stomach next to a tree, across the street from a building that said “Publishing” on the front.

When I woke up I decided that that particular dream meant that I was born to be a writer, and I decided then and there that I might need to have an interesting life if I was going to have something to write about.

Many, many, long moons later, the films Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood, Practical Magic, and several others that seemed to me to be written with pens made of majick, became realities.

These stories cultivated in me the idea that I could be a writer, and that I could get paid to write one day, and through Loud Mouth Brown Girl, that has sort of evolved into a reality. The pay I get is insignificant to the feeling of actually looking at a page and knowing that it’s one of the last pages of a book you wrote, with your own hands.

I have one published book currently and another on the way, in the mean time why don’t you check out the one I have published by clicking this link, or the image below.

Uncomfortable was written in the earlier days of Loud Mouth Brown Girl when I was inspired to write for a week and a bit straight and not think about what it is that I was writing. This isn’t a book about my life, so much as it’s a book about the lessons I’ve learned based on what I’ve been through.

The stories in this book are more about how I see the world than who I am, and while some people may not understand the format or the reasons, it’s precisely what I needed to write, when I know I needed to make the dream of being an author a reality.

This book is very different from Uncomfortable. It’s a labor of love, it’s taken time, energy, and even some money to make it a reality, but this book is designed as a journal for those who are looking to be full-time content creators. This book is geared towards those who want to get a grip on their mental health, while simultaneously, creating content for other people to consume. I Can Do This will be released in April of 2022.
