Six Oh Four North is creating stigma free cannabis education and support for those who are sick and tired, of being sick and tired.
At this point in your LMBG reading herstory, you know that cannabis has been a huge part of my writing, and healing journey.
What you may not know is how I got my start in the industry. It was actually genuine fortuitous timing, because I had happened to be at a meeting for CJSF radio, at Simon Fraser University in Vancouver, when I stumbled across a beautiful group of about fifty-sixty women, who were standing outside smoking cannabis.
They are led by an amazing woman out of BC and Winnipeg named Donna Jo and we call ourselves Canadian Women In Cannabis or CWIC (pronounced Quick) for short. Each of these women have come to cannabis for a variety of reasons, and from a variety of places in the country.
Each of these women have discovered within themselves the power to heal themselves and the desire to teach, inspire, challenge, and focus their energies on changing the face of the cannabis industry.
Shortly after joining them, I found EduCanNation, which is an organization devoted to educating people all over the world about the powers, responsibilities, and benefits of the cannabis plant. Again this group is peppered with people from all walks of life, who are passionate about the plant, because of a variety of reasons. From medical to medicinal each of the men and women who have welcomed me into the cannabis industry and community have done so with open arms.
Eager to teach, and genuinely interested in educating those who are interested in learning, the people that I’ve had the pleasure of learning from over the last four years, have helped me learn how to free myself from deeply seeded trauma that nearly destroyed my life.
I thought about keeping cannabis education under the LMBG banner, but because I want to devote so much time to it, I am launching a brand new cannabis education blog in the spring of 2022.
Most of my focus is going to be on that as I try to create a portfolio of information from people across the globe, and I am really excited about the prospects that I will uncover as I dive deeper into the industry and the connected community.
Since joining the cannabis community, the conversations I have are richer, more intense, more challenging, and more interesting than before. I am learning so much, and while I am constantly having to remind myself to go low and slow, I am finding an eagerness about this plant and this community that I haven’t had access to previously.
If you’re interested in keeping up with Six Oh Four North, and the information that I am gathering please feel free to sign up for the monthly newsletter here.
If you or someone you know is currently using cannabis, please consider filling out this short questionnaire about your cannabis interests, this will go a long way to refining the way that we approach cannabis education.
Sending all my love,
Devon J Hall
